First Day

First day of elementary school ever - big deal right?

“So what did you think?”

“huh?”

“Was it fun?”

“yea.”

“Did you meet any new friends?”

“yup.”

“Well, what were their names?”

“I forget.”

It has only taken him one day of school to ace the nonchalance of a ten year old.

  1. I’m right there with ya. The only way to get information out of my Kinder kid is to pretend that I have zero interest and then make a sneak attack of outrageous questions like “So, did anyone toot in class today?”

  4. That is funny! I feel my husband says the same things when he comes home from work! LOL :-) No wonder we get along so well, I teach Elementary students (K-5 Art)!

  5. I’m so glad to know it’s normal. My oldest (son) has always been full of details, and moms of girls in my youngest son’s kindergarten class share everything, but I’m lucky to find out what he ate for lunch.
